UI/UX

Sr/Lead Front-End Developer

Creating, developing, refactoring and refining is what I love to do. I have been a Front-End/UI Developer for most of my career, with deep roots in design, and I am passionate about design, performance and clean code. I love working on teams that hold a very high standard for building the best product, where features are designed to adapt and change while staying fast.

I am very systems-oriented: I build foundations that let products change and scale faster. That is why I built FAB Framework, a container-based component architecture that keeps design consistent and makes changes quick and safe at a large scale.

InfoEd Global

2023-2026
Senior UI Developer

Senior UI Developer on Resolute ERA, InfoEd Global's research administration platform. Built much of the application's UI framework, utilities and services from the ground up, and helped design and deliver a large share of its features. When I joined, the app faced a steady stream of daily bugs and slow turnaround; I worked with the team to build a stronger code review process, which sped up development dramatically. Averaged over 5,000 commits a year over two years. It was also my first project on a team using AI and agentic coding: without a system in place, AI-written code quickly became an inconsistent mess. It showed me both the strengths and the pitfalls of agentic coding, and that a strong process cuts bugs and side effects significantly, but only once the foundation is solid.

Sqad

2018-2023
Sr UI Developer

Led UI design and front-end development for the MediaCost application. Balanced long-standing layouts that users relied on with a steady cadence of new features, pitching improvements weekly. Built a large, scalable proprietary UI library and utility libraries, and refactored the Angular application's design through several major iterations while delivering a broad set of new features.

Fender

2013-2018
Sr Interactive Designer / Sr Front End Developer

Built the new layouts and the internal feature pages promoted each week during Fender's migration to Salesforce Commerce Cloud (then Demandware). Also delivered the largest project of my time there: moving all four Fender brand sites onto a fully responsive Foundation framework.

SheKnows

2011-2013
UI Software Engineer

Member of the UX team that designed and built feature sites for SheKnows.com. Wrote automated scripts for weekly custom newsletters for women's magazines, designed Facebook and social experiences for featured products, and maintained front-end development across SheKnows and its parenting sites. The first team where I worked in Scrum, with weekly stand-ups and 14 to 21-day sprints estimated with Fibonacci story points.

Atmosol

2009-2011
Lead E-commerce Designer / Amazon Developer

Led e-commerce projects for high-profile clients including MTV, Motorola, Samsonite, T-Mobile, Altoids, Tim Hortons, Reader's Digest, Benefit Cosmetics, Jack Nicklaus Golf Store and Stash Tea. Created mockup designs tailored to each client's requirements, led kickoff and project meetings, and managed junior team members to keep deadlines on track. Moved on when the client roster grew much faster than the design and development team, creating a backlog of two to three epics per sprint that put quality at risk.

Products I design and build on my own time to keep my skills sharp, all running on FAB Framework and the same NestJS API.

FAB Framework

01
fabframework.com

A container-based component architecture for Angular: every screen is assembled from a small set of shared base components driven by config, with form, section and card builders, a design editor for theming, and a visual page builder. Everything below runs on it.
